Earlier at The Wedding Seamstress we had the pleasure of altering a Modern Trousseau wedding gown. This wedding dress was a trumpet style gown with a beautiful pleated silk taffeta shell accented by a lovely flower.
Modern Trousseau was founded in 1997 and has quickly become one of bridals leading designers in style, innovation, and quality. Owner and lead designer Callie Tein has been in love with fashion since she was a young girl growing up in Melbourne, Australia. Her favorite game as a girl was pulling out her old 60’s and 70’s evening wear and modeling her favorite ensembles. She has marked important events of her life with the evolution of her wardrobe from her first high heels to her prom dress and of course her wedding dress. Callie attended Fashion Design at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology and upon graduating worked for multiple Australian companies honing her skills in women’s and children’s wear, eventually landing her a position designing wedding gowns. Modern Trousseau couture designs are put together beautifully using exquisite in creativity and construction. Callie loves the luxury of working with fine Italian and French laces, imported silk and delicate beadwork.
Nothing less than perfect is the standard Callie Tein sets for Modern Trousseau line of bridal gowns and mother of the occasion dresses. This all starts with Callie’s belief that one’s wedding day is the most important and special day of a women’s life, and the bride should remember herself feeling and looking gorgeous.
